Solving Technical Modding Issues


This weekend I fixed the issues with modding framework that I mentioned last week which weren't nearly as catastrophic as I first though they would be. Then I encountered a bunch of new issues that I fortunately was able to deal with before the weekend was over. Unfortunately I was left with little time to do much else...

So this week I'll work on converting the tribe splitting event and keep tweaking other events I have already converted. This is already taking more time than I hoped for, yet it's work that I needed to do anyway. So I'd rather be done with it now than later.

A bit of good news is that most of the real life issues I had to deal with for the last month and a half are finally over. I still have a couple of issues to deal with, but they hopefully aren't going to take as much of my personal time as the other ones. So that will give me at least a couple of extra hours to work on the game during the week.

Can you estimate how many weeks until the coolers update start coming?

It's hard to tell. I always make estimates that fail miserably. I hope to get done with performance stuff in two or three weeks to get back into tribal aggression. But it's just an estimate.

there is no such a thing was falling miserably, you just merely failed to succeed. (It sounded a lot funnier on oversimplified )
