Fixing Miscellaneous Bugs
This weekend I continued to work on nasty bugs that prevent the game from progressing for more than 5 minutes. The last one I fixed was an issue with region access calculations, which are necessary for tribes to identify possible new regions to colonize. These calculations would fail because in some instances it would count river cells as valid land access points to a region when technically they aren't, which would confuse the game.
Right now I'm working on another issue which would make a minor clan demands more influence (power) from a dominant clan when they are no longer part of the same tribe. This can only happen if the clan in question separates from the tribe on the same date it makes the influence demand, and it's tricky to solve because some decision parameters are set before the event that separates the tribes occurs.
The intention now is to continue to fix all the obvious crashing issues before the closed alpha period starts, and hopefully this will be the last one I need to fix before the game can run without any crashes on my system.
